Cimple is a Business-to-Business marketplace that improves the buying experience for businesses interacting with Governments.

Cimple is a Government Marketplace solution that creates data-led buying experiences for the Public Sector.

Cimple enables Government buyers to buy any good or service through a marketplace where it uses aggregated data to drive intelligent buying experiences.

Following a user centred design process to develop Cimple we have undertaken a breadth of research to deeply understand the target market and creating a platform that works right out of the box.

One of the biggest challenges has been how to improve the overall experience through utilising vast data sets. We have used various Machine Learning techniques to cleanse and match data improving how information is displayed to the user. By developing different algorithms we are able to drive intelligent buying experiences covering:

  • Improved matching of contract opportunities across the public sector (for suppliers)
  • Identification of the best route to market (for buyers)
  • Identification of a range of suppliers that may be suitable (for buyers)

 

To date we have built three core products in the Cimple infrastructure covering:

  • a comparison tool (Cimple Compare)
  • a goods marketplace (Cimple Marketplace)
  • an opportunity finder for suppliers to find opportunities in the Public Sector market (Cimple Finder).

 

The impact is increasing use of the platform by Government buyers and Private Sector suppliers.

  • Live since Jan 22 with 500 organisations
  • Over £20m in spend in 2022
